BETA is an academic English language service based in Germany.
Founded and run by Deborah Bennett, Ph.D., it offers specialist training in research communication and English for research publication purposes for post-graduate students and faculty members.
BETA training is designed to help researchers develop the English communication skills they need to further their academic career. Deborah Bennett, BETA’s founder, draws on her experience in both scientific research and in language training to develop short, intensive in-house training courses for small groups or individuals at research institutions throughout Germany and western Europe. All courses are tailored to individual requirements and use authentic, relevant materials. Clients include university research groups, independent research institutes, university hospital centres for clinical research, and private companies.
